Let’s research activity of crypto funds, private investors and crypto startups for last 3days. Our Radar system detected 15 deals. Bitcoin is rising and crypto ocean is shaking too.

1. Airbnb| $1B| prospectus in SEC for IPO

Short-term accommodation booking platform Airbnb has filed a prospectus for a $1 billion initial public offering with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission on Nov. 16. Interestingly, the application contains the following sentence:
“Our future success will also depend on our ability to adapt to emerging technologies such as tokenization, cryptocurrencies, new authentication technologies, such as biometrics, distributed ledger and blockchain technologies, artificial intelligence, virtual and augmented reality, and cloud technologies.”
Yes, the days will soon pass when “blockchain” was a dirty word after the wave of ICO scandals. Successful startups recognize that cryptocurrencies and other modern technologies will make their startup even more successful in the future.

2. Fireblock | $30m| Paradigm and others| series B round

Fireblock, a business platform for digital assets that helps companies store, transfer and trade cryptocurrencies, has raised $30m in series B funding from lead investor Paradigm featuring Cyberstarts, Tenaya Capital and Galaxy Digital. New money will allow the company to expand its global operations to meet “institutional and retail market demand for digital assets,” which increased 5-6 times in the last quarter.

3. Bithumb | $500m (rumors)| Huobi Prime| series B round

A report from South Korean news outlet The Bell reveals that Huobi is the prime bidder among companies trying to acquire Bithumb Holdings, the parent company of Bithumb. The deal is rumored to be worth $ 500m. We are awaiting the appearance of official information.

4. Truffle Suite | undisclosed sum| ConsenSys| acquisition

ConsenSys adds the Truffle Suite decentralized application development platform back to its Ethereum line of tools. ConsenSys Chief Strategy Officer Simon Morris said on November 17 that his company had acquired the team and technology behind Truffle.

5. IDLE | $1.2m| Cryptos Capital and others| seed

IDLE, a DeFi aggregator and rebalanced portfolio builder, raised $1.2m from lead investor Cryptos Capital with TheLAO, Dialectic, BlockRock Capital, Greenfield One, LongHash Ventures and other private investors. Idle protocol started as a hackathon project in the summer of 2019, and then became a member of the Consensys Tachyon accelerator.

6. Education Ecosystem | $1m| grants

The Education Ecosystem learning platform with an internal token LEDU continues to distribute a $1m grant to developers from 6 areas: artificial intelligence, blockchain, cybersecurity, data science, game development and programming.

7. Mask Network | $2m| HashKey, Hash Global and others| private round

Mask Network, an extension that encrypts messages directly to Twitter and Facebook, has raised $2m in investment from lead investors HashKey and Hash Global, with Alameda Research, Sino Global and private investors. Among the project partners are Arweave and MakerDAO.

8. OXIO | $12m| Monashees, Atlantico Capital and others| series A round

OXIO, a carrier-as-a-service platform that integrates elements of blockchain technology, has raised $12 million in a Series A led by Brazilian VC firm Monashees and Florida-based Atlantico Capital with participation of Multicoin Capital and FinTech Collective. To facilitate switching between networks, OXIO plans to use the token on the Stellar blockchain.

9. Galaxy Digital and CI Global Asset Management| new fund

Galaxy Digital, a cryptocurrency company founded by Mike Novogratz, is expanding its cryptocurrency offering in Canada. Galaxy Digital has partnered with large Canadian investment company CI Global Asset Management to launch a public bitcoin fund in the country. The fund will offer Class A and F shares at a price of $ 10 per share.

10. ShowPay | $1.5m| Jinghe Investment| private round

ShowPay, a blockchain company specializing in BSV and cryptocurrency payments, has announced a $1.5m round. The lead investor is Jinghe Investment, a subsidiary of China Lantian Corporation, other investors have not been disclosed. The investment will be used to develop the MetaID decentralized identification system.

11. SkyBridge Capital $9.2B hedge fund now can invest in digital assets

A mega hedge fund managed by Anthony Scaramucci, SkyBridge Capital, has given itself the ability to buy digital assets. In a series of filings with the SEC, the $9.2B asset manager made it clear that two of his funds could invest in digital assets. At the same time, investments can go not only to top cryptocurrencies, but also more risky altcoins or even ICOs.

12. Enter the Sphere | $25k| Flipstarter| crowdfunding

Enter the Sphere, an NFT RPG game based on Bitcoin Cash and Simple Ledger Protocol, has raised around $25k via Flipstarter. The game is expected to launch before the end of the year.

13. Ricardo Salinas Pliego |10% of his liquid assets are in Bitcoin

Mexican billionaire Ricardo Salinas Pliego revealed that 10% of his liquid assets are in Bitcoin. Bitcoin protects assets from government expropriation and inflation. Ricardo’s fortune is estimated at $12B.

14. NextSeed | undisclosed sum| Republic| acquisition

Republic, a cryptocurrency and blockchain-friendly crowdinvesting platform, has acquired NextSeed, a local business investment platform. The deal is accompanied by technology integration as well as collaboration of team members.

15. Tidal | undisclosed sum| Genesis Block| private round

Tidal, Polkadot’s decentralized insurance marketplace using pools, has raised funds from the Genesis Block fund. The amount of the deal was not disclosed. The TIDAL project token will be distributed between liquidity providers and insurance buyers in accordance with the stake amount and the purchased coverage.
