Zapper, the decentralized finance (DeFi) dashboard, has raised $15m in a Series A round led by y Framework Ventures. The round was joined by actor Ashton Kutcher’s Sound Ventures and entrepreneur Mark Cuban.

DARMA is leading a $3m seed round in NiiFi, a decentralized exchange (DEX) being built on Nahmii — a layer two system for boosting Ethereum’s transaction capacity. A195 Capital, AU21 Capital, Blocksync Ventures, Lotus Capital, Matterblock, Moonwhale Ventures, Protocol Ventures and Three M Capital are also included in the round.

10. Rocket | $1.2m | Pantera, Framework Ventures, SevenX Ventures and others | seed

Rocket Protocol is a blockchain infrastructure for the future virtual world incubated by MixMarvel. $1.2m round of financing was led by Pantera, Framework Ventures, and SevenX Ventures, with participation from Hashkey Capital, SNZ, Puzzle Ventures, and Spark Digital Capital.

11. Solv | $1m | Spartan Group, Axia8 Ventures, IOSG Ventures and others | private round

Solv Protocol is the decentralized infrastructure for creating and trading financial NFT. Project raised $1m from Spartan Group, Axia8 Ventures, IOSG Ventures, Hashed, Krypital Group, Genesis Block Ventures, and Maple Leaf Ventures.

12. Coinbase | $1.25B | bonds

Coinbase seeks to raise $1.25B in funds through a proposed private offering for institutional buyers. The offering will be in the form of convertible senior notes due 2026, available only for institutional investors that manage a minimum of $100m in securities issued by other companies.

13. Common | $3.2m | Dragonfly Capital and ParaFi Capital | private round

Governance startup Common Protocol has closed a $3.2m funding round led by Dragonfly Capital and ParaFi Capital. Other participating investors included Framework, Hashed, IDEO, Nascent and angel investor Balaji Srinivasan. Common develops interfaces and voting mechanisms for projects in the DeFi market.

The technology development company Tintash has been selected as a recipient of a Chainlink community grant to natively integrate Chainlink oracles into the Stacks smart contract platform. The grant is co-sponsored by the Chainlink Grant Program and Hiro — the major development company building developer tooling to support and accelerate adoption of Stacks, the network that enables apps and smart contracts on Bitcoin.

Crypto research and venture firm Delphi Digital has launched an “on-chain” fund Delphi InfiNFT to invest in non-fungible token (NFT) projects. InfiNFT is backed by IDEO CoLab Ventures, Calvin Liu of Compound Finance and Divergence Ventures, Jeffrey Zirlin of Axie Infinity, an NFT-based game developer, Andy Chorlian of NFT protocol Fractional, Gabby Dizon of Yield Guild Games, and others.

MicroStrategy has purchased an additional 229 bitcoins for $10m in cash at an average price of ~$43,663 per bitcoin. As of 5/18/2021, company hodls ~92,079 bitcoins acquired for ~$2.251B at an average price of ~$24,450 per bitcoin.

Decentralized platform Playcent acquired Nftgate to launch Multichain NFT Marketplace powered by Binance Smart Chain, Polygon and Ethereum.

20. Radiologex | $20m | STO

Radiologex will hold an STO token sale on the Securitize platform. The total emission of R-DEE tokens is $100m. At STO, the company will issue 20 million tokens with a par value of $1. The minimum investment amount is $5k for US citizens and $2.5k for residents of other countries. R-DEE is a blockchain platform that provides services for the storage and exchange of data between doctors, healthcare professionals and medical companies.

MetaSol develops Meta transactions on Solana (without SOL fees). Project received grant from Serum.

22. Egoras | $2.1m | Exnet Capital, VBC Ventures, JunCapital and others| strategic round

Egoras is a microfinance protocol provides uncollateralised micro-credit to small entrepreneurs. Egoras has successfully completed a strategic funding round. A total of $2.1m was raised, led by Exnet Capital, and were joined by VBC Ventures, JunCapital, Buidlhodl, Three M capital, Resurgence Capital, and Blackdragon. Other backers were Chaos Capital, Aussie Capital, and Everse Capital.

23. Revuto | $1.7m | Black Dragon, VC funds and angel investors | private round

Revuto (REVU) is a payment protocol that harnesses the functionality of Cardano (ADA) smart contracts for retail use cases. The Revuto (REVU) application has raised $1.7m from major VC funds and angel investors. The community-backed blockchain investment team Black Dragon led this round.

24. Copper | $50m |Illuminate Financial Management, Dawn Capital and Target Global| Series A round

London-based crypto custodian Copper has raised $50m in a Series B round led by Dawn Capital and Target Global. Illuminate Financial Management, the enterprise fintech focused venture capital firm, also participated.

25. Carbon | $1.7m |Genesis Block Ventures, Magnus Capital, Kyros Ventures and others | private round

Carbon’s platform offers users a clean and slick user interface intended to implore inspiration and collaboration among the platform’s users. It also streamlines the entry of new artists into the NFT economy. Carbon announced its $1.7m private funding round, led by Genesis Block Ventures. Magnus Capital, Kyros Ventures, Fairum Ventures, Pluto, Tsukiomi Group, LVT Capital and CSO DOA are among investors too.

Bit2Me, a Spain-registered crypto exchange company, has announced the launch of Bit2Me Capital, a new investment fund to support entrepreneurs and startups in the development of their blockchain projects.

27. InNervations | $50m | China Merchants Bank and Nervos |new fund

Public blockchain network Nervos has announced the launch of a $50m fund InNervation with China Merchants Bank International, a wholly-owned subsidiary of China Merchants Bank, in a move it says will boost the development of the public blockchain ecosystem in China.
