  1. Multicoin Capital |undiscloused sum | Binance | strategy round

Binance announced that it had made a strategic investment in Multicoin Capital in Texas. This is the first time that Binance has invested in a fund. This may mean that projects invested by Multicoin Capital have easier access to Binance’s resources.

2. BSCPad | Binance Smart Chain| IDO

BSCPad launchpad was deployed on Binance Smart Chain. The first IDO will be the BSCView analytical service.

3. Block DAG network Taraxa | $3.3m | public round

Block DAG network Taraxa will hold a token sale in three options, during which it is going to raise $3.3m.

4. Tidal | $1.8m | Hypersphere Ventures, Spartan Capital, Kenetic Capital, and QCP Capital | private round

Tidal Finance, the yet-to-launch Polkadot-based decentralized insurance protocol, has raised $1.8 million in a private token sale round. The round was backed by Hypersphere Ventures, the venture firm co-founded by Polkadot co-founder Robert Habermeier, as well as Spartan Capital, Kenetic Capital, and QCP Capital.

“Robinhood for DeFi” keyTango has raised investments from LD Capital, Signum Capital, Spark Digital, Alphabit, Phoenix VC, Faculty Capital, ATKA Capital, Momentum 6, iconomy, and SevenX. On March 11, the project will host IDO at DuckSTARTER.

6. Idavoll Network | $200k | IEO

Idavoll Network, a candidate for Polkadot parachain and DAO management toolkit, will hold an IEO on Gate.io on March 3, with a round cap of $200k. Gate.io Labs invested $30k in the project during private sale.

7. Goldman Sachs Group Inc | new money

Goldman Sachs Group Inc has restarted its cryptocurrency trading desk and will begin dealing bitcoin futures and non-deliverable forwards for clients.

8. zkSync | undiscloused sum |Union Square Ventures, Placeholder, 1kx and others | series A round

Matter Labs is honored to announce a Series A round for zkSync from some of the most reputable projects in the blockchain space. This round is led by Union Square Ventures, an early investor in Twitter, Cloudflare, Firebase, Twilio, MongoDB, and Coinbase. It also includes existing investors — Placeholder, 1kx, and Dragonfly — who have provided us with incredible support over the last two years.

9. NFTfi | $890K | CoinFund, 1KX and others | private round

NFTfi, a simple peer to peer marketplace for NFT collateralized loans, recently announced that it has closed an $890k seed round from leading investors in the NFT space. The largest investors of $890k round were CoinFund and 1KX, also VC funds with deep experience in the NFT and DeFI space such as Collab+Currency, Maven 11 and The LAO. Animoca Brands also participated in the round as a strategic investor. The remaining participants were the NFT leading builders and collectors including Roham Gharegozlou, CEO of Dapper Labs, the creators of NBA Top Shot and CryptoKitties, Sebastien Borget, COO of The Sandbox and others.

10. MicroStrategy | new money

MicroStrategy has purchased an additional 328 bitcoins for $15m in cash at an average price of $45,710 per bitcoin. As of 1 of March 2021, MicroStrategy hold 90,859 bitcoins acquired for $2.186b at an average price of$24,063 per bitcoin.

Fusible, a price discovery protocol for NFT, has raised $720k from Amesten Capital, x21 Digital, MoonWhale Ventures, Magnus Capital and private investors. On March 5, the project will host IDO on DODOEX by DODO.

Dora Factory, the DAO-as-a-Service infrastructure for on-chain governance and open source ventures, has closed its second round of private sale. Social trading terminal Aluna.Social raised $1m from 100x Ventures, Genesis Block Ventures, DEXTForce Explorer, DeversiFi founder and LunarCRUSH founder. Also, the project will hold SHO on DAO Maker and IEO on Gate.io crypto exchange.

InsurAce, a decentralized insurance protocol, has raised $3m from lead investors Alameda Research and HashKey Capital with contributions from DeFiance Capital, ParaFi Capital, Hashed, Signum Capital, IOSG Ventures, ImToken Ventures, LongHash Ventures, HashGlobal, Tembusu Partners, Factorial Ventures and private investors.

21. DeFi Alliance | $15m | CMT Digital, Cumberland DRW, Jump Capital and others | new fund

The DeFi Alliance is organizing the DeFi Alliance Fund I, seeded by Alliance members and led by our founding partners along with Mark Cuban. It includes other institutional trading firms like Altonomy, Alameda, GSR, Nascent, Pattern Research and Wintermute; leading DeFi-focused capital allocators like Delphi Digital, ParaFi Capital, and Kyle Samani and Tushar Jain of Multicoin Capital; protocols like 0x Labs, Blockstack, Solana and Terra; and founders like Amir Bandeali, Jack Herrick, Joseph Lubin, Kain Warwick, and Stani Kulechov. $15m is already invested in the fund.

22. Anchorage | $80m | GIC, a16z, Blockchain Capital, Lux, and Indico | series C round

Cryptocurrency custodian and banking company Anchorage announced Thursday that it raised $80m in a Series C funding round.The round was led by Singaporean sovereign wealth fund GIC, with participation from a16z, Blockchain Capital, Lux, and Indico.

23. Serum | $200–500k | grant

Serum is announcing $200–500k grants for crypto exchanges that integrate SOL, SPL, SRM and/or SPL tokens.

24. Kraken | from $10b to $20b |Fidelity, Tribe Capital and General Atlantic | strategy round

Crypto exchange-operator Kraken is reportedly seeking to rake in new cash from a raise that could value the firm above $10b. As per Bloomberg News, the U.S. exchange is in talks to raise funds from firms including Fidelity, Tribe Capital and General Atlantic.The report added that while the terms aren’t final, the exchange could nab a valuation above $20b if there is high enough demand.

26. Binance | $100k | project support

Binance in partnership with Certik launches the first phase of the Most Valuable Builder (MVB) Accelerator Program. After March 26, 10 winners will be announced, each of them can receive up to $100k seed investment in BNB.

27. Stablecorp | $1.58m | Canadian Schedule 1 Bank VersaBank, DV Private Investments, Borderless Capital and a major U.S. Bitcoin financial services firm |strategy round

Toronto-based Stablecorp is partnering with a consortium of highly strategic investors led by Canadian Schedule 1 Bank VersaBank, DV Private Investments, Borderless Capital and a major U.S. Bitcoin financial services firm. These new consortium members will join existing strategic investors 3iQ and Mavennet to launch VCAD and catalyze growth of next generation financial infrastructure globally. Stablecorp received from investors $2m Canadian dollars (about $1.58m US dollars). The stablecoin will operate on the Algorand blockchain.

28. Stone Ridge |new money

Investment group Stone Ridge (AUM over $5B) has filed an application with the SEC that the managers of its Diversified Alternatives Fund can invest in bitcoin and its derivatives.

29. Fantom | $20m | BlockTower Capital | strategy round

BlockTower Capital, a leading crypto and blockchain investment firm, has acquired a $20m stake in the Fantom ecosystem through investment.

30. Hathor Network | grant

The Hathor Network is launching a grant program, applications must be submitted by April 4. The project team also entered into a partnership with HOPR.

31. General Protocols | $3m | strategic investors | strategy round

The startup General Protocols announced the company has raised $3m in a Series A financing round led by a number of strategic investors. General Protocols is the firm behind the Anyhedge protocol, the first decentralized finance (defi) project built on the Bitcoin Cash network.

32. WallStreetBets | new fund

A group of moderators from the WallStreetBets subreddit have announced their plans to launch WallSteetBets 2.0 on a blockchain. The new version will discuss tips, pool investments, and place bets based on community votes. The reason for the shift is to achieve freedom from centralized governments and privately owned online platforms.

33. Simply Digital Technologies Inc. (CoinSmart)| $3.55 m | seed

Toronto-based cryptocurrency exchange company Simply Digital Technologies Inc. (CoinSmart), today announced that it recently closed a CAD $4.5m (USD $3.55m) seed round of financing through the issuance of interest-bearing convertible debentures to fuel the expansion of its platform into Europe and support operational updates.

34. FunFair | $120m | FreeBitco.in | strategy round

FreeBitco.in, one of the biggest Bitcoin iGaming websites in the world, has acquired the majority of FunFair’s remaining cold storage of FUN tokens, the native cryptocurrency of the FunFair gaming ecosystem. The cold storage holds 4.45 billion FUN Tokens and FreeBitco.in has acquired 3.75b tokens.

BCB Group, a London-based startup providing banking services to crypto firms, has raised $4.5m in new funding. The strategic funding round was co-led by North Island Ventures and Blockchain.com Ventures, with participation from Pantera Capital, L1 Digital, and Pack Capital.

36. Blocery | $1.5m| GBIC | strategy round

Blocery, blockchain based trusted food supply chain management solution provider, is pleased to announce the closing of the $1.5m strategic investment by GBIC.

37. Moola | $1.4m| Polychain Capital, Flori, Davoa Capital and others | seed

Moola, a mobile money market protocol democratizing access to yield on the Celo network, is thrilled to announce we have raised a $1.4m seed funding round.
