DAFI Protocol has raised $0.9m during private fundraising round. Rarestone Capital, Spark Capital, LD Capital, AU21 Capital, Amplifi, Twin Apex, Polymer Capital, SL2 Capital, Morningstar Ventures and MoonRock Capital are among participants.

2. Coinbase| $123.89m| acquisitions

Cryptoexchange Coinbase has disclosed data on its acquisitions: Tagomizha paid $41.79m, Neutrino $13.8m, and part of Xapo $68.3m.

3. Mazzanti Automobili| $1.2m|STO

Italian luxury car manufacturer Mazzanti Automobili has launched its security token offering on regulated digital marketplace STOKR. As part of the offering, Mazzanti aims to raise € 999,999 ($1.2m) on STOKR to develop a special edition of its hypercar model Evantra Millecavalli R. Mazzanti’s STO will allow investors to purchase MZZ tokens, priced at 1 euro each.

4. Sorare|$50m|Benchmark and Accel Partners|series A round

Sorare, a major blockchain-based soccer gaming platform, has raised $50m from lead investors Benchmark and Accel Partners. The round also included some additional investment from investors like Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, VaynerMedia CEO Gary Vaynerchuk, and Barcelona striker Antoine Griezmann.

5. CoinShares| $18m| IPO

CoinShares, Europe’s largest crypto-focused asset manager, has quietly kicked off a share issue ahead of a planned public offering on the Nasdaq First North Growth Market in Stockholm, Sweden. CoinShares International Limited has made 3,364,403 shares available for investment by individual and institutional investors in Sweden and abroad. This equates to an offering of roughly 151m Swedish Krona (approximately $18m).

6. DFX| $5m| Polychain,True Ventures and others| private round

DFX raised more than $5m in seed funding from Polychain and True Ventures to create a new blockchain-powered market for stablecoins and open up DeFi applications to a global audience. Announcing the news Wednesday, DFX said that other investors included industry players like Hex Capital, CMS Holdings, Castle Island Ventures and DeFi Alliance.

7. Oxygen |$40m|Alameda Researc, MultiCoin Capital, Genesis Capital and CMS| strategy round

Alameda Research, the crypto trading firm, has led a $40m investment in Oxygen, a Switzerland-based DeFi prime brokerage. MultiCoin Capital, Genesis Capital and CMS also participated in the round. Oxygen will launch on Serum, a decentralised ecosystem built on the Solana blockchain. Oxygen is also announcing an integration with the wallet of Maps.me, a mapping app, which it says has the potential to bring more than 100 million users into the Serum ecosystem. Oxygen is powered by the OXY governance token, which will stage an Initial Exchange Offering on March 11 and list on FTX, BitMax and Serum DEX on March 16.

8. Icorating.com|Jigstack DAO| acquisitions

Jigstack DAO is developing the Lemonade decentralized launchpad for token sales. The team bought the Icorating.com website and all its databases.

9. Northern Data| $500m | IPO

Germany-based Northern Data is planning to raise up to $500m in an initial public offering, or IPO, Bloomberg reported on Monday. The company is working with Swiss investment bank Credit Suisse to proceed with the IPO, anonymous people familiar with the matter told the publication.

10. LUMS | $3.6m | Stack | grant

LUMS, one of Pakistan’s leading research universities, will use Hiro’s grant ($3.6m) from Stack, to develop and build out educational programs that will enable faculty and students to research blockchain, cryptocurrencies, distributed-ledger technology and more.

11. Bottlepay | $15m| Alan Howard, FinTech, NYDIG and Goldman Sachs|seed

UK-based crypto payments startup Bottlepay has raised £11m ($15m) in seed funding. The round’s investors include fund manager Alan Howard, venture capital firm FinTech Collective and financial services firm NYDIG, as well as current and former Goldman Sachs partners. Tech entrepreneur Phil Doye is also among the backers.

12. Decentralized Wireless Alliance |$4m| grant

The Decentralized Wireless Alliance (DeWi), which includes the Helium project, is opening a grant program for 1 million HNT tokens (about $4m), up to $100k per grant.

13. Labs Group| undiscloused sum| Sky Ventures, YBB Foundation and Genesis Block Venture| private round

Real estate tokenization platform Labs Group has raised investments from Sky Ventures, YBB Foundation and Genesis Block Venture. Labs group partners with the Riochain project, Enjin and Polkacover.

14. Optimism|$25m| Andreessen Horowitz |series A round

Optimism, a startup focused on the scalability of the Ethereum blockchain network, has raised a $25m Series A funding round led by Andreessen Horowitz. The startup grew out of a non-profit research organization known as Plasma Group.

15. ETHA Lend| $1.6m|AU21 Capital, DFG Group, Privcode Capital and others| private round

ETHA Lend is a yield optimization protocol powered by both Ethereum and Polkadot ecosystems. The investment $1.6m round was led by AU21 Capital, DFG Group and Privcode Capital, followed shortly by eminent investors including Vector Capital, Chain Capital, PNYX Ventures, Lancer Capital, Oasis Capital, TRG Capital, Candaq, Dealean Capital, Inclusion Capital, Origin Capital, ZB Capital, YBB Foundation, AC Capital, Hotbit.

16. Partisia|$2.25m| pre-sale

Partisia Blockchain has opened Tier 2 of Early Contribution MPC Token Sale. Now all the users can get involved in Partisia Blockchain, participating in tier 2 of early contribution MPC token sale. Tier 2 hard cap is $2.25m. Tier 2 price is $0.075, with vesting schedule of 8.33% quarterly for 3 years. Mainnet and public sale are scheduled for July 2021.

DeFi builder DeFi Wizard has raised $750k from X21 Digital, AU21 Capital, TRG Capital, DeltaHub Capital, NGC Ventures, and ExNetwork. DeFi Wizard will have a public token sale on Bounce & FalconSwap on March 1st. $100K worth of DWZ tokens will be allocated for public sale.

18. MicroStrategy |bitcoins news

MicroStrategy Incorporated (Nasdaq: MSTR) (the “Company”), the largest independent publicly-traded business intelligence company, announced that it had purchased an additional approximately 19,452 bitcoins for approximately $1.026 billion in cash at an average price of approximately $52,765 per bitcoin, inclusive of fees and expenses. As of February 24, 2021, the Company holds an aggregate of approximately 90,531 bitcoins, which were acquired at an aggregate purchase price of approximately $2.171 billion and an average purchase price of approximately $23,985 per bitcoin, inclusive of fees and expenses.

19. Fantom |$35m|Alameda Research| strategy round

Alameda Research has acquired a $35 million stake in the Fantom ecosystem through the purchase of FTM. Alameda Research enters the Fantom ecosystem, collaborating with the Fantom Core team integrating Solana, Serum, Raydium, and other cross-chain products. In addition to that, Alameda Research will run a validator node on top of the Fantom Opera mainnet to help boost network security.

20. Centrifuge|$4.3m|Galaxy Digital, IOSG Ventures, with Rockaway Capital and others| private round

Centrifuge, a blockchain startup focused on bringing real-world assets to decentralized finance (DeFi), has raised $4.3m to further grow its business through a “safe agreement for future tokens” (SAFT) round that kicked off late last year. Now leading the round are asset manager Galaxy Digital and IOSG Ventures, with Rockaway Capital, Fintech Collective, Moonwhale Ventures, Fenbushi Capital, TRGC and HashCIB also newly participating.

21. Square|bitcoins news

Square Corporation announced that it bought 3,318 BTC for $170m, bringing the average purchase price to $51,235k. The company now has 5% of its reserves in bitcoin.

CUDOS, next generation cloud, raises £10m in funding! 23. Convergence Protocol|$2m|Hashed and others| private round

Convergence Protocol, a decentralized project focused on bringing liquidity to real-world assets in decentralized finance (DeFi), has secured $2m in its latest funding round. The round was led by blockchain firm Hashed, with strategic investors NGC Ventures, Genesis Block Ventures, Alameda Research, CMS Group, Kenetic Capital, Pantera’s Paul Veradittakit and more also participating.

Inverse, a counter-volatility DeFi protocol, holds IDO on Ferrum Network in the lottery format.

25. Pods|$800k| Boost VC, Framework Ventures, P2P Capital, BitScale and others|preseed

Pods Finance Inc. has closed a pre-seed $800k round with Boost VC, Framework Ventures, P2P Capital, BitScale, Zeeprime, The LAO, and additional DeFi angel investors by August 2020.

26. Idavoll Network|$1m|DFG, Spark Digital Capital, YBB Foundation and others| private round

The Polkadot Ecosystem’s first Decentralized Autonomous Organization platform Idavoll Network has successfully completed an initial funding round of over $1m to launch its infrastructure and services to users of the Idavoll Network and Polkadot Parachains. This round of investments are led by DFG, Spark Digital Capital, YBB Foundation, Hashwei Ventures, Chain Capital, GAINS Associates, ZBS Capital, Gate.io, Oasis Capital, Bitblock Capital, Onemax Capital, Blockhunter Capital, Magnus Capital and more than 10 other investment institutions. Idavoll Network is one of the first supported projects by the Web3 Foundation Grants Program. Idavoll Network is based on the Substrate development framework.

27. The CoinShares Physical Ethereum ETP| $75 m| new fund

The CoinShares Physical Ethereum ETP is listing on the Swiss SIX exchange under the ticker “ETHE” and already has around $75 m in assets under management (AUM).

28. Radicle|IDO

Earlier we talked about Radicle and the $12m raised in a private round. On the 25th February, the project started LBP on the Balancer platform. The starting price is $11.5.

29. Oddz Finance|$2.6m|Woodstock Fund, AU21 Capital, GBV Capital and others| private round, seed

Oddz Finance is merging traditional finance realms into the decentralized derivative landscape to drive massive adoption with a high degree of intuitiveness and ease of use. The project raised $2.6m from Woodstock Fund, AU21 Capital, GBV Capital, Krypital Group, X21, Amesten Capital, NGC Capital, EX Network, Altonomy, Lotus Capital, Lumen Capital, Maha DAO, DAO Ventures, Fire Protocol and others.

30. Animoca Brands| NFT

Animoca Brands, the developer and publisher of the successful blockchain games F1® DeltaTime and The Sandbox, is further expanding its push to bring mainstream consumers to blockchain by announcing that MotoGP™ Ignition, the competitive management and collectibles game platform based on MotoGP™, will be built on the Flow blockchain, with the first content sale to begin 26 March 2021.

31. Christie’s| NFT

The world auction market leader Christie’s has launched the first day of auction for a digital artwork in the form of NFT — collage “Every day: the first 5000 days”. Trades will be held from February 25 to March 11, the starting price of the lot is $100. The last, at the moment, rate is $2.4m.

Hapi, a cryptocurrency security project, will run an IDO through Poolz on Binance Smart Chain.

The Yield Protocol is conducting SHO on the DAO Maker platform, during three rounds $200k will be raised.
